My wife doesnt eat spicy food generally but fell in love with Massaman Curry when in Khao Lak this year. Mae Jum Massaman is delicious and I cook a slightly watered down version for her with extra Cocunut Milk and one with less cocunut milk for me. Beautiful flavours.

Meet Mae Jum
A True Taste of Thailand

My name is Jatuporn, but my family and friends call me "Jum".

As a proud mother, that wants my kids to feel more connected to their Thai heritage through the recipes that were passed down to me by their grandmother, and great grandmothers.

Growing up in Southern Thailand, I was surrounded by an abundance of fresh herbs (and chillies) just growing around our home, scattered between the papaya, banana and jackfruit trees. We harvested practically all we needed.

We were blissfully unaware of just how lucky we were, and how Mother Nature was there to support our nutrition, our good health, and when we fall ill, our remedies.

Inspired by loved ones, I started this journey with Mae Jum ("Mae" means Mother in Thai). Or perhaps they encouraged me for the convenience of getting hold of my pastes online!

How many servings does each pack make?
Each 70g pack can produce between 6 - 8 servings when following a Mae Jum recipe. The serving quantity could differ depending on the amount of ingredients you add or the level of spiciness you prefer.
How spicy are Mae Jum Thai pastes?
Mae Jum Thai pastes have a range of spice to offer from mild to very hot. The spiciness can be adjusted to suit your preference by adding more paste for a hotter dish or using less if you prefer a milder flavour.
What seasonings can you add?
To cook the ultimate traditional Thai dish, you may want to add the following ingreditents: Fish sauce, palm sugar or shrimp paste. Although you can still produce a beautiful Thai meal without these extra ingredients from using Mae Jum Thai pastes.
How to store once opened?
Once opened, reseal the sachet and place in the fridge. Our pastes are naturally
preserved with salt and can be kept in the fridge for serveral weeks.
