5 stars out of 5. Ordered the 'Classic' bundle.Easy recipe to follow using only a few extra ingredients. Tastes authentic and delicious with just the right amount of chilli heat. Will definitely be ordering the other bundles.
First time of using these sachets. Very impressed. My only comment would be that I prefer a slightly thicker sauce than these make. I guess I could cut back a bit on the liquids, but then that would simply make less sauce, not a thicker sauce. I would appreciate any tips on thickening the gravy, once cooked. Other than that, very good and I will use again when I have used up the 7 that I bought.
Hi Barry, thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we’re so pleased to have made a great first impression! There’s a couple of things you can do to achieve a thicker sauce. First is to check the amount of coconut content that is in your chosen coconut milk, many brands have different quantities and you may have cooked with a brand that has included more water than coconut. A great brand that we use is called Aroy-D which has 70% coconut content which is very high for a coconut milk, you can buy Aroy-D in Sainsbury’s for around £1.70. Alternatively, you can cook with a tin of coconut cream which is basically coconut milk but with even less water, usually between 80-90% coconut content, this will make the sauce thicker. The only thing with coconut cream is that you may need to purchase 2 tins as usually coconut cream is sold in smaller tins. I hope this helps! 🙏
